Due to the unexpectedly high demand for steel jerry cans, we will not be able to receive new stock from our usual manufacturer, Yates, until the first week of March. We therefore searched within our network and were able to obtain a batch of steel jerry cans from the European manufacturer Gelg. These rock-solid jerry cans are of the highest possible quality and, in addition to the UN quality mark, also have a NATO quality mark. This is the highest possible quality mark and required for manufacturers who want to supply defense.
If you are looking for a fuel canister for intensive use, then the steel fuel canister is a good choice. The jerry can has a sturdy bracket closure with a locking pin and the optional pouring spout makes it easy to pour out the fuel. Because air cannot reach the fuel, there will be little loss of fuel quality in the long term. In addition, our experience is that steel fuel jerry cans have less odors than plastic fuel jerry cans.
Our steel jerry cans are produced in Europe and are neatly finished. This is in contrast to Chinese steel jerry cans that many other sellers offer. These are often not provided with a quality mark and may therefore not be used for hazardous liquids such as fuel. Our advice is to pay close attention to this when purchasing a steel jerry can.
